Stonesthrow Townhouse

We welcome people who love the perfect combination of town and country in their holiday break and who love to stay in a holiday cottage that enables you to get immersed in the culture - Arts, Antiques and Architecture; and Experiences - Adventure, Access to the Peak District and Atmosphere of a thriving and happy Town.

Sleeping 6 plus an infant in three double bedrooms, you could be 3 friends looking for a combination break of walking and gin with your own rooms to retire to; or three couples looking to have an adventure together and some nice meals out; or a family looking to come together for special moments.  Either way we have the perfect location, cottage and experiences for you.

We are:

🐕 Dog Friendly with enclosed courtyard, stable door, stair gate, towels, bowls and treats. Walks in all directions almost from the front door. Leek is also very dog friendly with most shops and pubs welcoming dogs thanks to a local initiative.

🐱🐰🦔🐭🦎🦜Pet Friendly we welcome all pets that you wish to bring on holiday, please let us know if there is anything we can do to make their stay easier.

👫 Child and Baby Friendly with large cot bed, highchair, stairgate, stable door, park less than 300 metres away, toys, games, books and train set in the house. A play café in toddler walking distance. Plus close to Alton Towers, Peak Wildlife Park and lots of other child friendly places.

🤩 Older Child and Teenager friendly as great for independence as so close to everything. Lots of cafes to buy cake and milkshakes from. Pub with pool and darts end of the road (over 14s). Large skate park just up the road and lots of sports facilities such as tennis, basketball, swimming and running facilities close by.

"A wonderful break in a beautiful house. Felt very homely, loved the extra touches like bread and cakes on arrival plus other food we had forgotten. Bathroom treats also left just in case we needed. Not enough space to highlight all the amazing features. Decoration, lighting (even the TV in a picture) so much thought had gone into making this a truly exceptional place and I would highly recommend! We will be back!!"

The communication & help from Julie before we got there was so useful & appreciated and made the planning and arrival stress free. The house itself is perfectly located in the heart of Leek & so warm & welcoming. We were so impressed with the cleanliness & personal touches which make Stonesthrow a real home from home.

So much thought had gone into making this holiday home special - from the cakes and fresh bread on arrival & essentials such as milk and butter in the fridge to the tasteful decoration & quality bedding and towels.

Stonesthrow is the perfect base for exploring all Leek and the Peak District has to offer. We enjoyed two days of walking & making good use of the local public houses.
